HistoryStreets has worked closely with the British Library to bring you significant images from their collection and we would like to thank all those at the British Library who have help in the process to bring History Streets to the web.

All images contained on the History Streets website are under UK copyright and must not be re-produced for any purposes without the prior permission of History Streets and the British Library.

The British Library has taken great care in digitising the images they hold. All images have been captured from original documents. Many of the documents are rare, hundreds of years old and due to their age may be of varying quality. The British Library and History Streets have worked to provide you with a faithful image of the original document. The age of many documents will mean that small imperfections may be present in original and the re-produced image.
